Deep in the Port of Antwerp, the Social Business Hub acts as a point of coordination and exchange. The Nautical Chain Effect and a Social Business Hub are housed under the same roof, creating a place where companies from Antwerp and beyond can meet, supporting collaboration within one of the most complex and active port environments in the world.

The port currently lacks a recognizable place to visit in the middle of the industrial area. The Social Business Hub addresses that absence by offering a clear and intuitive building. Integrated into its green surroundings, the building is lifted into an elevated park, allowing landscape to continue along the architecture.

Sustainability is also considered by reusing and integrating the existing buildings located on the site, reducing material waste and embodied carbon. The functions housed in the highest floors are private, and the lower you get, the more publicly accessible the spaces are. This gradual mix of public and private is reflected in the pattern of the corten steel facade.
